Service Description

What is Sound Healing? Sound healing involves the therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the body of a person. The frequencies can be applied directly to the body using instruments such as tuning forks or around the body using instruments such as gongs and drums. The goal of sound healing is to bring the individual back into a state of harmony and good health. Everything in the universe has a vibrational frequency, including your cells and tissues. Vibrations made by sound healing instruments can interact with the body and enhance regeneration of specific cells and organs. Furthermore, research has shown that sound healing enhances relaxation and can bring the body into a parasympathetic state. Instruments That May Be Used During Sound Healing Sessions: • Practitioners singing voice • Crystal singing bowls • Tibetan bowls • Gongs • Drum / ocean drum / tongue drum • Sansula • Shakers • Harmony ball • Rain stick • Tuning forks • Koshi chimes • Tingshas • Monochord What To Expect During a Follow-up Consultation? Follow-up consultations typically last 1 hour and cost £80. Sessions are relatively similar to initial consultations however talking is minimal and healing time is increased. Lekita will briefly discuss symptom improvement/worsening, any change to medical history, relationship status, stress levels etc before beginning healing. Once you are relaxed and comfortable on the treatment bed, Lekita will take you through a short guided meditation before progressing onto reiki and sound healing. Different instruments may be used in follow-up sessions as Lekita intuitively uses what feels right that day. Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing again and drink plenty of water post healing. Follow-up appointments should be booked in for 1 week-1 month post session. Who Should Avoid Sound Healing? • Those with sound-induced epilepsy, heart pacemakers, stents, or shunts • Pregnant women, especially during the first 12 weeks Is There A Set Number of Sessions I Should Have? There is no set number of sessions an individual should have, however, a minimum of 3-5 sessions is recommended to see optimal results. That being said, each individual is different and will have different requirements. This will be discussed during your initial session. For more information, please visit the 'Sound Healing' page.
