What is Sound Healing? Sound healing involves the therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the body of a person. The frequencies can be applied directly to the body using instruments such as tuning forks or around the body using instruments such as gongs and drums. The goal of sound healing is to bring the individual back into a state of harmony and good health. Everything in the universe has a vibrational frequency, including your cells and tissues. Vibrations made by sound healing instruments can interact with the body and enhance regeneration of specific cells and organs. Furthermore, research has shown that sound healing enhances relaxation and can bring the body into a parasympathetic state. Instruments That May Be Used During Sound Healing Sessions: • Practitioners singing voice • Crystal singing bowls • Tibetan bowls • Gongs • Drum / ocean drum / tongue drum • Sansula • Shakers • Harmony ball • Rain stick • Tuning forks • Koshi chimes • Tingshas • Monochord What To Expect During an Initial Consultation? Here at Holistic Healing we offer reiki infused 1-1 sound healing. Initial consultations typically last 1 hour 15 minutes and cost £90. During the first half of the session, you'll have a short introductory chat about the process and expectations or intentions. Lekita will briefly discuss medical history, symptom complaints, stress levels, relationship difficulties and anything else applicable to your case. After enough information has been gathered, the healing process will begin. Clients will be instructed to lie down on a treatment bed in a candle lit, dark relaxing room with soft music playing. Lekita will guide you through a short meditation before progressing with reiki and sound healing. With given consent, Lekita will move her hands around your body (either lightly touching specific areas or hands hovering over) to provide reiki healing. In the final section of the session, sound healing instruments will be played around/on the body. Clients may experience heat and tingling sensations over certain body parts as energy blockages begin to release. Visualisations, memories, colours and pictures may appear during sessions. Try to allow whatever arises to pass with acceptance and no meaning attached to it.
