This test includes 11 biomarkers that offer a comprehensive evaluation of thyroid function. Since the thyroid operates through a feedback loop system, it is crucial to assess the status of the critical components within this loop. By combining TSH, Total T4, Free T4, and Free T3, we can begin to identify key indicators of this feedback loop. Furthermore, the assessment of thyroid antibodies, Vitamin D, and lipid markers provides a deeper understanding of potential causes and effects involving the thyroid gland.
Thyroid function can be influenced by factors such as sex hormones, pituitary issues, liver function, and immune regulation. This test includes all the thyroid markers along with a comprehensive assessment of sex hormone and pituitary markers, which can contribute to the overall assessment.
