These hair masks are made from all natural ingredients and contain no harsh chemicals that contribute to toxicity or hair loss. These hair masks are great for treating dandruff, dry scalp and damaged hair. Using these hair masks regularly will leave your hair glowing, soft and silky!

1. Castor Oil Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp castor oil

Directions:

  1. Put the castor oil in a bowl. Heat in oven for approx. 1 minute (it should be warm not boiling). Using your fingers, massage the castor oil into your scalp and down your hair.

  2. Leave on for at least 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. Castor oil is sticky, therefore you may need to double shampoo to get it all out!

Reasoning:

  • Castor oil promotes hair growth by increasing blood flow to the scalp.

  • Castor oil is hydrating and helps with dandruff and dry, itchy scalp.

  • Castor oil is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial.


2. Cinnamon and Coconut Oil Mask


Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Directions:

  1. Melt the coconut oil in a small pan or put in a bowl in the oven for 1-3 minutes.

  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted coconut oil and cinnamon well.

  3. Apply the hair mask onto your scalp and hair.

  4. Leave the mask on for at least 30 minutes before rinsing off.

Reasoning:

  • Coconut oil is extremely hydrating and helps prevent breakage.

  • Coconut oil protects your hair from protein loss and damage when wet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp raw honey

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

Directions:

  1. Melt the coconut oil in a small pan or put in a bowl in the oven for 1-3 minutes.

  2. Mix the melted coconut oil, avocado and honey in a small bowl until well combined.

  3. Apply the hair mask onto your scalp and hair using your fingers.

  4. Leave the mask on for at least 15 minutes before rinsing off.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar and Pau D'arco Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1 part raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar

  • 10 parts water infused with Pau D'arco

Directions:

  1. Take 2 tsp of the loose herb Pau D'arco and brew in 10 parts boiling water for 15-20 minutes.

  2. Strain the water (as you would with a tea).

  3. Mix the infused water and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.

  4. Apply to damp hair after conditioning, let sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Reasoning:

  • Pau D'arco is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial which may help reduce dandruff and scalp itching.

  • Apple cider vinegar helps restore shine and lustre to a dry, dull scalp.

  • Apple cider vinegar reduces dandruff and scalp itching.


5. Rosemary and Ginger Oil Mask

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 drops ginger essential oil

  • 3-4 drops rosemary essential oil

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp almond oil.

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl combine the ginger, rosemary, coconut and almond oils. Mix well until combined.

  2. Using your fingertips, apply the mixture to your scalp and hair, massaging it in as you go.

  3. Leave the hair mask to sit for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

  4. Apply 2x per week for optimal results.
